Its no secret that the beautiful landscape that surrounds Koigu has always been a large inspiration for the dye lots and designs! Whether it be the beautiful sunsets, the surrounding waters or the rolling green hills inspiration is a plenty at the Koigu farm. Co-founder Maie Landra (in her first art life) specialized in beautiful pen and inks drawings of tree’s. Tree’s have been a continuous artistic inspiration for her and can be seen in some early designs.
With the dawn of the Canada Day Long weekend the Koigu Team has been reminiscing on trips across Canada and ever-changing landscape that surrounds us! Our Koigu team has been spread from coast to coast recently, visiting family, going to school and pursuing jobs, but still some off the most beautiful views are right at home! Both Merike and I have taken some very beautiful adventures in the mountains of BC! Former Koigu Team member Turner is now off at school on the east coast, at Dalhousie in Nova Scotia! While these locations are beautiful our heart is still held with the sunsets of Grey County!
